About me:

Hello, I’m Claire.

I’m a generally registered psychologist who works with adolescents and adults. I am a warm and friendly person who values the positive outcomes that come from establishing a safe, collaborative, and non-judgemental therapeutic relationship.

I enjoy working with people from all backgrounds and experiences, including LGBTIQA+, culturally diverse, and neurodiverse individuals. I especially have many years of experience working with the LGBTIQA+ community, both as a peer and as a clinician.

I have experience using CBT, ACT, and schema therapy, and I work with a wide range of mental health presentations, including depression, anxiety, interpersonal concerns, eating disorders and body image, and OCD.

What's your fun fact?

I still have a baby tooth.

What's your go to coffee?

I love coffee but I only drink decaf.

i thrive in helping people who...

are in the beginning or middle stages of pursuing transition or gender affirming care, and wanted to explore their gender and pathways. Being able to laugh together is nice too.

What are your strengths as a therapist?

My capacity to connect with anyone and support them to feel seen and heard.

What is your general philosophy and approach to helping?

I tend to take a strengths-based approach where I find what the client is good at and then build upon this. This creates groundwork for building skills and resilience.
